Whatever your level is, you'll be able to enjoy yourself.
Family walks like at the Cormorans or at Grand-Etang (photo below); several-days hikes in the three cirques...



Most of the paths are marked out and very well maintained.


The Classics :

In one day (or less):

The Dimitile, departing l'Entre-Deux
La Roche Ecrite
Le Grand BΘnard (with a detour through la GlaciΦre), departing Le Maido
Le Piton des Neiges, departing Cilaos
The unmissable Piton de la Fournaise, usually called The Volcano
La Nouvelle in Mafate, departing Salazie


In several days:

The most famous hike is the Three Cirques in a row, Mafate-Cilaos-Salazie. You can do the hike in 3 to 5 days, depending on your level, and on the route you choose.


Note that

lots of paths are accessible from Cilaos and Salazie for a few hours hike.
